Juvéderm HYDRATE offers deep hydration to give you smoother, firmer skin in areas that are often susceptible to sun damage and the signs of aging- the face, neck, décolletage, and hands. Hydration is fundamental to healthy skin tone and elasticity, and maintaining a natural, healthy glow. Creams can only temporarily moisturize the skin at the surface, but Juvéderm HYDRATE can provide the deep, lasting hydration that will give you a natural, healthy glow.
What is Juvéderm HYDRATE?
Juvéderm HYDRATE is a treatment specifically designed to improve skin hydration and elasticity, resulting in a more refreshed appearance and a natural, healthy glow in the face, neck, décolletage, and hands.
Juvéderm HYDRATE is the latest addition to the Juvéderm family and belongs to a new category of smooth hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal products. However, unlike competitive products, Juvéderm HYDRATE contains the antioxidant mannitol. Juvéderm HYDRATE is administered through tiny doses, delivering deep hydration to the face, neck, décolletage, and hands.
How does Juvéderm HYDRATE work?
Juvéderm HYDRATE works because of the super-hydrating power of HA, which occurs naturally in the body. The hydrating effects of HA come from the fact that it retains water and absorbs more than 1000 times its weight!
Juvéderm HYDRATE is designed to replenish HA lost through ageing, rehydrating the skin, and improving its elasticity and tone. It is administered through tiny doses about 1-2 cm apart. Once delivered, the HA gel flows smoothly and distributes evenly into the skin.
What makes Juvéderm HYDRATE different?
Juvéderm® Hydrate is a new category of skin hydration treatments, containing smooth HA and mannitol. Among other things, HA contributes to the overall smooth appearance of the skin, and mannitol is known as an antioxidant and acts against free radicals.
Like all of the products in the Juvéderm family range, Juvéderm HYDRATE has been studied in clinical trials.
What exactly is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring substance found in the body that helps to hydrate and add volume to our skin. Natural HA is broken down by the body in one or two days so it is constantly replaced. As we age, this replacement mechanism diminishes, so the moisturising and plumping effects of HA decrease. Hyaluronic acid is used for aesthetic treatments and has also been used by doctors for use into arthritic joints to aid movement, as well as for eye surgery.
What Is Mannitol?
Juvéderm HYDRATE also features mannitol, an antioxidising agent that helps prevent the build-up of free radicals within the skin that degrade HA. With the addition of mannitol, the effects of Juvéderm HYDRATE can be prolonged.
Are there any side effects?
Following treatment, you may experience redness, slight swelling, or bruising at the treated area. Your doctor will inform you about this. These side effects will not last and can easily be covered up with your usual makeup. However, do not hesitate to inform your doctor if these reactions persist (beyond a week) or if any other side effects are observed.
